Using Keywords not related to your Web site
To improve the positioning, some spammers use words without any relation with the Web site. But these words cause a lot of searches, for example sex or names of celebrities.
Keyword Stacking.
This technique uses the method of repeating artificially a keyword. For example: web design web design web design web design.
Hidden text and very small texts.
One way to repeat keywords without modifying the texts is adding hidden text ( with the same colour as the background) or very small text.
Hidden links.
These links are only useful to improve the positioning. These links are invisible and don't give access to any information.
Artificial links, 'link farms' and 'web rings'.
Web sites are used with the only purpose of pointing out to other Web sites and sometimes even to payment web sites.
Page Swapping.
This is a technique that consists on subjecting a Web site to the search engines and change it once it had been analysed by the robots.
Duplicated Web sites.
When a Web page with keywords is duplicated or modified the number of its keywords increase artificially. |
