The information found in specialized books and web sites about shared IP positions is very contradictory. Therefore IP address has to be taken into account when a server is engaged. The important fact is not whether the IP is shared or not, the important fact is to know which other domains share it. That is, it is essential to make sure that the same server of our Web site doesn't accommodate pornographic web sites or web sites that use non-ethical positioning techniques, because this fact minimizes the legitimacy of these domains. Google also penalizes IP positions that change continuously since this instability proves they are using cheap hosting.
